READING - Education in Road Safety

In the paper Professor McKenna argues that educational interventions are often designed in the absence of theory or any formal body of evidence. In some circumstances they may inadvertently increase exposure to risk.

For those people who have always believed in education, education, education, Professor McKenna does offer some comfort, the conclusion here is not that no educational interventions can work, but rather that the evidence must be provided.
