Today's example dropped into my inbox from the One Crash is Too Many web site and it's about empowering your children in road safety. The particular part that struck me was teaching your child that they are not to accept a ride from someone that doesn't provide a seatbelted position for them to ride in. If this does occur, they should politely refuse the ride and call you for help. It's simple and effective!

What is often missing is the equivalent for short term, small scale occurrences. This had added importance now that we have the slow down, move over law.
I got checked by a road monitor for an oil company and he said I needed a cargo net between the back seat and the front seat. I've never heard of that. He said it was the law in case something loose hit me in an accident. I've never seen a net in another truck and can't find a law that applies
