Using the proper child car seat will protect your child’s life in a crash. Whether you are driving across town or making a short trip to the store, it is important to ensure that the children in your vehicle are properly restrained.
The BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation holds child car seat checks in Nanaimo where certified child passenger safety educators will show parents the proper installation and use of child car seats and answer your questions.
In B.C. all drivers are responsible for transporting all children in secure age and weight-appropriate child car seats until their 9th birthday or 4’ 9” in height.
If you are unable to attend the child car seat check in your area, visit www.childseatinfo.ca or call 1-877-247-5551 to speak with a certified Child Passenger Safety Educator.
