The chances of meeting a very large truck on BC highways has increased again. In order to haul wood chips and wood residuals efficiently due to their lower weight for a given volume, the province will be permitting super B trains with lengths of up to 27.5 meters (90 feet) and heights of up to 4.45 meters (14 feet 8 inches) on certain highways. Because the Extended Length Super B-trains require more room to turn compared with normal Super B-Trains, permits will be restricted to Ministry approved routes only.
