Red Light Violation

I received a ticket indicating that I ran a red light and was in violation of section 129.  The officer was stopped at a red light, at the cross street, with two cars to his right blocking his view of when my car actually entered the intersection.  When he pulled me over I explained that the light had turned yellow when I entered the intersection and I felt it was unsafe to stop. (It was dark, rush hour and raining.)  He explained that whether the light was red or yellow it didn't matter and the fine was the same.  My two children were in the car with me 13 and 15.  I am disputing this ticket and am wondering what my chances are.  I am definately sure that the light turned yellow when I entered the intersection and both my children say the same thing.  What are my chances in the dispute and can my children be considered witnesses.

Thank you, I had seen that.

Thank you, I had seen that.  Some, but not all of my questions were answered.

OK

Thank you, I never know and I hate typing the same thing out twice! Which questions do you have that weren't answered?
