My mom was injured by a man riding in an electric wheelchair who was going too fast entering the James Bay Library. She was walking ahead of him when he ran into her. We have taken pictures of her leg injury. She is quite emotional about the incident and it has aggravated her PTSD.
I am wondering about the legalities of the school bus stopping in an intersection to discharge students. Rural road, and the bus stops in the intersection like so: / it crosses the center line to provide coverage for crossing students. Stop signs out and flashing lights activated. I believe if the bus were to be involved in an accident at this time, it would be at fault for crossing the center line.
Yesterday we drove up the Coquihalla from Hope, the plow trucks were doing a wonderful job on the highway but there was no care taken to plow out the chain-up pull-outs for commercial trucks. So now the trucks are all lined up along the right lane of the road, thus forcing regular traffic into one lane.
This may be ok except now a semi wants to start up the hill and realizes too late that the single set of chains he/she put on will not go and now stops the second lane until help arrives or more chains are installed. I don't mind being corrected here as I don't sit there observing all day but it appears that most of the truckers are trying to get by with only one set of single chains.
Ecole Oceanside Elementary located at Wright road and Hwy 19A, was formerly a middle school that converted to an elementary school in 2014 when there were school closures in Parksville. We have children as young as 4 and 5 years old walking to school with their families and crossing at the intersections at Wright and Hwy 19A, as well as Wright and Wembley rd (a 4 way stop).
Prospect Lake Elementary School is located in the 200 block of Prospect Lake Rd. A few years ago another nearby elementary school was shut down and all the students were sent here. The school population doubled.

Q: I'm looking for your assistance in settling a debate. This depicts the camera vehicle making a left turn in front of a vehicle proceeding straight through the intersection around a left turning vehicle. The camera operator is of the thought that since there is only one lane of travel that the vehicle should have waited behind the left turning vehicle and that the camera operator had the right of way. The white vehicle made an illegal pass on the right.
Q: I was on a highway in bumper-to-bumper traffic approaching my exit for work and changed lanes to the right once I saw the end of HOV lane sign, and in doing so crossed a solid white line. An RCMP officer was on the side of the highway and waved me over. I explained that I would be exiting the highway and that's why I changed lanes. He gave me a ticket for violation of Section 151(b) - crossing a solid line.
I appealed the ticket and intend to plead not guilty on the basis of section 156, which suspends sections 151 and 155 under certain conditions.
