Snowmobile decks are often missing required clearance lights and reflectors. Unless the deck is less than 2.05 m wide the pickup truck lights alone are not sufficient.
Light & Reflector Requirements for Snowmobile Decks
Red clearance lamps on the back corners and yellow clearance lamps on the front corners are required as the deck in this photograph is over 2.05 m wide.
The truck itself does not have lamps and reflectors in a position to fill this need.
In addition to the lamps, a reflector is required on each corner of the deck that matches the lamp colour.
Tie Downs
These sleds appear to have been properly secured to the deck. They have tie downs that prevent them from moving forward or backward and side to side.
The working load limit of the tie down straps should equal or preferably exceed the weight of the load.
Breakdown Warnings
If the deck is over 2.3 m in width, at least two breakdown warning devices must be carried in the cab that are readily accessible to the driver.
These devices must be used if the truck breaks down on a highway.
Registration & Licence
On an unrelated note, neither of the two snowmobiles were registered or displaying off road vehicle licences as required.
