If I am the driver of a motor vehicle and I have an adult passenger who refuses to wear their seat belt and I operate such vehicle Who will recieve the ticket if the party in question has no valid drivers license and has no Formal ID??
Would you write something in one of your articles about people turning at intersections and immediately going into the right lane and cutting off other motorist merging into traffic? This is one of my biggest pet peeves in the traffic world. I have seen and experience where to person who is merging is getting the horn and finger wave even though they were in the right.
It has always struck me that warning of a speed trap is a violation no different to being an accessory to a crime by warning the bank robber that the police are coming. Certainly very difficult to enforce.
And to take it a step further, what about radio stations that warn drivers over the air of speed enforcement areas. Could they increase the scope of what they perceive as public service to include DUI stop checks?
QUESTION: Just wondering....when the roads are snow covered and you can't see the painted lines but there are tracks worn in the snow and are not within the 'lanes' what are ther legal responsibilities and duties especially if one is in an accident because one person is in the 'lane' and the other is in the worn tracks.
I have video evidence to defend myself against a traffic ticket. How do I convince the officer to withdraw the ticket before trial?
My husband was driving a rental car in BC. We got a driving without consideration traffic ticket and lost it. We don't know our rental car plate number or have much info to go on. Who/where do we contact to pay and get a copy of our ticket?
Question: Is whether it is illegal to park a car that is uninsured on a residental street? The driveway is full up and I wonder if parking anywhere else near the house uninsured can be fined or towed?
West Vancouver, Highway 1, going East. Speed limit is 90. Snowboarders in a van with WA plates zip ahead pushing 140 going back home. Following the van I catch myself going pretty fast and slow down. A couple of seconds after that I see a patrol car with lights on in hot pursuit behind me. I though he was after the WA van, but he pulled me over instead... I had my wife, a baby and mother-in-law in the car.
Recently I was coming back from the ski hill and got a rock chip in my windshield that has started to crack and spider. I know there is a violation ticket that may be written for a cracked windshield. I plan on getting it changed in the spring after the roads are swept because I don't really want to spend $200 dollars to have a windshield changed on the chance it may get hit with another rock.
