BC Courts Coat of ArmsThe Motor Vehicle Amendment Act Bill 15 - 2015 has passed First Reading in the legislature. Highlights of the proposed legislation include:

  • Mandatory driver program establishment
  • Repeals establishment of AirCare
  • Changes to various driving prohibitions and their review
  • Keep right except to pass
  • Allowing municipalities to change the way motorcycles may be parked
  • Changes the definition of winter tire
  • Exempts emergency vehicles from mandatory impoundment
