VIDEO - ICBC's Gear It or Shear It Series
ICBC has produced two new videos aimed at making sure motorcycle riders use proper safety gear to protect themselves in the event of a crash. The first two videos are on riding pants and riding gloves. Protecting your hands and legs with the right gear as opposed to work gloves and blue jeans are shown. The third compares full face and partial helmets.

It looks like British Columbia's Immediate Roadside Prohibition (IRP) program is under a cloud again. In this case Mr. Justice B.C. MacKenzie is asked to stay a driving prohibition issued under the program to Tony Van Bree on May 23, 2015. The basis for the action is that the IRP legislation challenge has made its way to the Supreme Court of Canada and a decision on its validity in law is pending.

If I have a dashcam and capture traffic violations and reported them, is it of any use for police to prosecute? If so does it depend on the level severity? What steps or how much involvement would be required of me? eg. appear in court, just sending a video etc.
Three swings and three strikes, figuratively speaking. This describes my experience making driving complaints to the police. In each case it appears that there was little interest in following up. In fact, one of the complaints was initially refused by the civilian complaint taker.
