"Speed Kills!" is a popular road safety slogan that we hear often. It's pretty simplistic and when I look around me on the highway I am convinced that drivers either don't believe it or live in a world of denial. Speed alone doesn't kill, but combine it with poor driving skills or a bad decision and it definitely makes a bad situation worse.

Cyclists are entitled to their share of the highway, just as motor vehicle drivers are. When they are overtaken by a motor vehicle, it is the driver's responsibility to pass the cyclist safely. It is not the cyclists responsibility to get out of the way of the driver if the cyclist is legally occupying the lane.
Colliding with the rear or side of a commercial vehicle can be more than a headache. Currently North American standards have required a stronger rear underride protection, but there is no requirement at all for side underride protection. This video illustrates the hazard and demonstrates the added protection for side underride protection currently mandated in Europe.
Most of the people on my RV forum have moved from ST to LT trailer tires. They claim these tires have a higher reserve load capacity, better construction and much lower failure rate. The failure rate of ST tires appears to be substantially higher.
I would like to have a clarification on how to do a left turn at a yellow light. At a big intersection with a green light, a vehicle is on a complete stop waiting for a safe gap to do a left turn. The car is positioned to the right of the centre line and over a crosswalk but has not yet passed the third line (the stop line as the first line, the inner line of crosswalk as the second line, and the outer line of a crosswalk as the third line).
