CVSE - Updated Carrier Safety Guide

BC LogoCommercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) has announced the availability of an updated version of the Carrier Safety Guide.

According to the notice, the new version was created in order to encompass regulatory and legislative changes over the last few years.  This version also incorporates information previously found in many separate documents that have accumulated over the years (e.g. Safety Plan Guidelines and Booklets 5 & 6) which have now been removed from circulation.

The CVSE also provides an online training course to help carriers understand their responsibility to comply with the National Safety Code. The course takes between 6 and 8 hours to complete and consists of an overview and 5 modules:

  1. Setting Up Your Business Records
  2. Driver Requirements
  3. Hours of Service
  4. Vehicle Maintenance
  5. Monitoring Carrier Safety Practices
