I have a 49cc gas scooter. Its top speed is only 50kph, so I try to stay in the bicycle lane if traffic is heavy. I have searched drivesafebc.ca and ICBC but cannot find articles on whether this is legal.
If I was riding in the bike lane and was in an accident with a vehicle that made a right hand turn in front of me, who would be at fault?
I received a notice from the City of Castlegar Bylaw office regarding a car I have parked on my property. According to bylaw 1120 #1(h) I am not allowed to have an unlicensed car anywhere on my property.
Question: I pulled up to a crosswalk and a stop sign where there was a pedestrian crossing. I came to a stop and let the pedestrians in it cross. after when there were no more pedestrians in sight I moved forward to see the traffic to ensure it was safe for me to go through the intersection (2-way stop).
I saw a car with chameleon headlight tint. Apparently it's a super clear transparent film pretty much like 90% transparent...maybe more??? ...with just pigments. The pigments make it have that look where you see a puddle of oil/water on the ground and it has that rainbow effect. I know it's bad to have tail lights blacked out as it can make it harder to see you braking...but what about these headlight film that is almost clear?
Question: I received a ticket while parked in a private parking lot in Vancouver. It was issued by Imperial Parking Canada Corporation Notice #01C954742 Lot Code 1768 - says "Restricted Lot" - says ..."hereby notify you that you have parked on private property without displaying a valid pass or sufficient valid dispenser ticket(s) or have otherwise improperly parked as detailed below."
I am an international student (ESL) and have a driver's license in my country. I'm already studying in Canada for 6 months and have 6 more to go. My school is not listed in the designated schools that allow me drive during the course duration.
I asked the ICBC what are the consequences of me being caught driving in this situation and they answered me that depend on the police who will stop me.
We are going on a drive through Canada and the US in a large motorhome that only has shoulder strap seatbelts for the driver and co-pilot. All other seatbelts are lap-belts only. My 7-year-old son requires a booster seat when we are in the car, but what do we do in the RV? Front seat? Back seat with booster? Back seat without booster?
If I have a dashcam and capture traffic violations and reported them, is it of any use for police to prosecute? If so does it depend on the level severity? What steps or how much involvement would be required of me? eg. appear in court, just sending a video etc.
I recently got a ticket for section 11 MVA while using my demonstration plate. I had my icbc consent card, driver's licence, d plate & a copy of my garage policy. The officer told me I need a copy of the registration in the car as well.
Question: I purchased a snowmobile in 2003 brand new from a Skidoo dealership in Kelowna. At that time I registered it with a ICBC and got a sticker. However, I never received any ownership papers. Is there any way to get that paperwork as I want to sell the machine.
