I was asked to comment on an interesting "exchange of views" on Facebook regarding a no left turn sign posted by the Delta School District at Richardson Elementary School. It began as a discussion about whether a driver had to obey the sign or not and then deteriorated into less than respectful exchanges.
My mom was injured by a man riding in an electric wheelchair who was going too fast entering the James Bay Library. She was walking ahead of him when he ran into her. We have taken pictures of her leg injury. She is quite emotional about the incident and it has aggravated her PTSD.
Question: I am wondering about the legalities of the school bus stopping in an intersection to discharge students. Rural road, and the bus stops in the intersection like so: / it crosses the centre line to provide coverage for crossing students. Stop signs out and flashing lights activated.
We have children as young as 4 and 5 years old walking to and from Ecole Oceanside Elementary school with their families. They cross at the intersections of Wright Road and Highway 19A, as well as Wright Road and Wembley Road (a 4 way stop) without the benefit of school crossing guards.
Prospect Lake Elementary School is located in the 200 block of Prospect Lake Rd. A few years ago another nearby elementary school was shut down and all the students were sent here. The school population doubled.
I was sitting in a line of vehicles at the red light in the northbound lane of Woodsdale Road, at the intersection of Woodsdale Road & Highway 97 in Lake Country, British Columbia this afternoon. A northbound driver in a truck on Highway 97 turned south onto Woodsdale Road and immediately tried to cross the intersection diagonally to a driveway leading to his business at a small Marina on Wood Lake.
I have a question about nitrous oxide. Is it legal to have a nitrous oxide system hooked up to a vehicle? If the bottle is detached from the system is it legal? Does the appropriate DOT WHMIS oxidizer symbol convey any legality to transport?

Question: I was on a highway in bumper-to-bumper traffic approaching my exit for work and changed lanes to the right once I saw the end of HOV lane sign, and in doing so crossed a solid white line. An RCMP officer was on the side of the highway and waved me over. I explained that I would be exiting the highway and that's why I changed lanes. He gave me a ticket for violation of Section 151(b) - crossing a solid line.
Question: I live near a small traffic circle at Peatt and Brock Roads in Langford. What often happens is a large volume of traffic flows south down Peatt Road and proceeds straight through. There can be 10 or 15 cars in a row. Meanwhile, there will be a vehicle on Brock Road waiting for a break in traffic to proceed into the circle.
