The Danes love their bikes, and the Danish capital of Copenhagen is the world’s most cycle-friendly city. One problem, helmets have never become as popular as cycling itself. To combat this, the Danish Road Safety Council launches a campaign which pokes gentle fun at those who are too vain to wear a helmet, by recruiting a group that wore theirs with pride - the Vikings.

Here in B.C. jaywalking or crossing the road at a place other than a crosswalk is generally not illegal and may not be as unsafe as some people think. It is only prohibited in municipalities where a bylaw against the practice has been enacted.

It explains how engineers build a camera system that takes pictures of vehicles that don't stop when they must. Called Intersection Safety Cameras in British Columbia, there are currently 140 of them installed at intersections with a high crash risk from red light runners.
