Question: Just wonder if you know if there is a minimum distance dumpsters can be from the side of the road? Does it work like it would for a car that must be parked within 12 inches of the curb? Should they be on the road at all?

Today's explosion in West Vancouver left a car barely recognizable, injured passers by and did damage to many nearby buildings. The owner of the car left a leaking cylinder of acetylene gas inside and the windows and doors closed. The tiny spark generated by the electric door locks was enough to trigger what amounted to a bomb.

If a US resident comes to BC with his/her US licensed and insured vehicle to visit friends or family, is there a restriction about who can drive the vehicle?  Can a BC licensed driver operate the vehicle, and if so, does the owner of the vehicle have to be in the vehicle while it is being driven by the BC driver.

i recently had my truck inspected at a government shop and had a few compaints and concerns with the people at the  counter not knowing answers to my questions and them actually giving me false information about driving my truck during the inspection process.

Question: I was wondering about drinking in a motor home and its legality. I understand that definition of motor home from the Motor Vehicle Act. I further understand that a person must not drive or otherwise exercise control over the operation of a motor vehicle.

The more that I learn about how to construct one of BC's highways, the more I see how complicated that job really is. One would think that you decide where to go, level off a pathway, build a few bridges, throw down some pavement, put up a few signs and we're good to go. I don't know if a person could find a better way to understate the task than my last sentence!

I can't find it anywhere... How far can, say a 2x4, stick out of a trailer before it needs a flag? (Alberta used to be 5 feet...)

I just wanted to check - is it legal to have adult passengers ride in the back/box of a pickup truck while driving in BC, and are there any restrictions, i.e. Highways etc?
