New Drivers

Question: If a novice driver is accompanied by someone over 25 who has a full class 5 license but is currently serving a 90 day immediate roadside prohibition, are they within the law? Does this count as an appropriate "Supervisor" ?

I have twin daughters who will very soon be getting their 'L'.  The believe the passenger restriction for a learner's licence is 1 supervisor and 1 other passenger.  This will be a considerable lost opportunity for them to practice driving when we go somewhere as a family.  If you've dealt with this situation do you have any advice?

A few days ago, I have just received my first Novice License and had retained my L for a year without any issue or ticket. Today, I have driven up Burnaby mountain, and down for the first time and was ticketed out a speeding at 92km/hour in a 60km/hour zone.

B.C.'s Graduated Licensing Program (GLP) was implemented to develop driving skills in a safe, step by step manner. Today, they are a widely accepted, effective safety measure. The system of restrictions that have been evaluated have been found to be very effective in reducing crashes and injuries, and public acceptance is high.

I recieved a ticket a week ago for cell phone use while driving. It was my first ticket aside from a parking ticket. On the ticket it also includes a fine for failing to display my N.

If I pay this ticket am I going to be prohibited from driving? Is there anything I can do? I have a job that requires driving. 

C.J.S. is a young person who held a class 8 motorcycle learner's licence. He was participating in a group ride from Campbell River to Gold River on Highway 28. He was seriously injured in a collision near the intersection of McIvor Lake Road when a Prius that he had been following signalled right and turned left.

Mandeep Gainder, a novice driver, was discovered sitting in his idling car which emitted a strong odour of marihuana from the passenger compartment. Constable Troughton performed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test on Mr. Gainder who admitted smoking the drug and failed the test. A 24 hour prohibition for drug use was issued by Constable Earle. This suspension was not disputed.

Gordon Mace, a 40 year old driver who held a class 7 driver's licence and was part of the Graduated Licencing Program (GLP) appeals a driving prohibition imposed by RoadSafetyBC after he received two traffic tickets.

My girlfriend's younger brother recently got his L license. My girlfriend and I both have our N license.

Question: I am a new driver with an N licence and I got into a car accident by rear ending someone. The damage was basically a minor "fender bender." There was just minor damage to their license plate and mine.
