Question: I was hoping if someone could point me in the direction of any laws on cars using private driveways to turn around. I have many cars using my driveway to do two-point turns to change directions and it's driving me a bit crazy. One car nearly hit my daughter who was in the driveway having just got out of my car.
Question: Are collection agencies involved in collecting unpaid traffic tickets issued in BC? The collection agency that contacted me has been sending correspondence to an address in Delta. I have not had a drivers licence in BC or lived in BC for a long time. Now 7 years later they want me to pay the fine or risk having it effect my credit rating.
Question: I am driving westbound on Moscrop Street, approaching the intersection with Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby. The signal changed to a yellow light and I decided that I was past the point of no return so I did not brake. A driver coming toward me decided to turn left and we collided. ICBC has found me to be partly at fault.
Somebody stole my wallet last May, including my driver's licence. I reported it to both ICBC and the RCMP, received a police file number and a new license.
I received a warning this evening, for speeding. I was trying to get out of the way of the person behind me (who ended up being a police officer). Anyway, he told me my name would be in some sort of data base in case an officer sees me and pulls me over for speeding again.
I know a guy who has lived in BC for well over 25 years and still holds a Alberta drivers licence and registration. At one time he used my husbands and my address. Now we are in BC and switched over as soon as we got here.
I was recently issued a ticket for failure to stop at a yellow light at an intersection. I am a class 2 bus operator and given the total stopping time of my class 2 vehicle (perception/reaction/actual braking time) and the fact I had a elderly person seated at the front on my bus, I thought it would be unsafe to either try and make a smooth controlled stop (which would have left the bus past the stop line) or make a sudden stop (possibly causing the elderly passenger to leave her seat).
Question: I grew up in the Netherlands where riding a bike everywhere is normal. I moved to Vancouver in December, 2009 and have noticed that there is not much safety commonsense with cyclists. My main concern is their "safety" LED lights! They shine them upwards blinding pedestrians and drivers along the way.
Question: I drive a mini bus for our seniors home. It has space or 6 ambulatory and 8 wheelchair passengers. Is there a requirement for us to have a written report of our Pre and Post trip inspections?
I got a traffic ticket for speeding on my Alberta license while I was driving in Vancouver. I disputed that ticket and my court date is this week. Since then, I have gotten a BC license and no longer hold the Alberta license. I was wondering if you would answer the following three questions for me.
