Question: I have a question regarding the seatbelt exemption sometimes referred to as the "Milkman Exemption." My understanding is that it applies to drivers who make multiple vehicle stops and exits within a confined area (i.e. one street or a bay or boulevard) as they are not in general traffic and never get going very fast (exemption requires speeds of 40 km/h or lower).
Question: I purchased a sidecar motorcycle this summer and my speedometer reads under the reader board reading by 5 k in a 50 k speed zone. How accurate are these reader boards and can I trust this to be consistent enough to alter my speed accordingly to maintain the actual speed limit?
We live in a small town up north with the RCMP are well known to be rude, aggressive and ...obnoxious. My 25 year old son was teaching my 21 year old son how to drive a standard last night...my younger son stalled on the road and tried to get the car started and stalled a couple of more times - he was more nervous also because there was a police car behind him.
I hope you can clarify for me if I illegally jaywalked today or was just using an "unmarked crosswalk." The grand entrance to our townhouse complex is directly across the street from the entrance to another grand townhouse complex. The two entrances form a kind of right-angle intersection with the 2-lane road they bisect (82nd avenue and 160th Street, Surrey approx. place).
My car was recently hit in an intersection, crossing it from east to west. I was crossing with the pedestrian light facing me (there is no traffic light facing me). The other driver, travelling from north to south ran the red light she had and hit me in the intersection.
Hi there, I currently have an Alberta L, that is going to expire soon. I just moved to B.C and am planning on staying here for some schooling, and am wondering if I am allowed to take a British Columbia N drivers test without retaking my L? Or do I have to take my Alberta license and transfer it over?
Why is it that people can still drive our streets in vehicles puking out pollution? Isn't there laws against this? If so please contact the owner of BC plate [deleted] and ask to get the thing repaired. Not fair to be trapped behind one of these and have to breathe in the stench!
I can't find it anywhere... How far can, say a 2x4, stick out of a trailer before it needs a flag? (Alberta used to be 5 feet...)
Are there regulations in BC’s motor vehicle laws that say how far apart speed limit signs have to be in order to properly inform the public as to what the speed limit is?
I have found a reference to this in Ontario by searching the internet, but not for BC so far.
I have a mail box and paper drop at the entrance to my property. A car parked in front of the mail box today blocked my exit as I was backing out I scraped it. Do I have any recourse here based on parking violations?
