4WDABC Off-Road Vehicle Training

4WDABC off-road vehicle LogoSet the date of March 26, 2022 aside for the Foundations of Four Wheeling course being held between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm near Harrison Mills. Taught by qualified instructors from the 4 Wheel Drive Association of BC, the course will take you through the basics and help make you comfortable in your off-road vehicle in a variety of common situations and obstacles.

NEWS - ATV Deaths

ATVThe B.C. Coroner's Service has released statistics on All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) deaths in the province from 2009 to 2018. Impaired driving was involved in half of them.

CASE LAW - Passerin v Webb

BC Courts Coat of ArmsThis is a case where a runaway snowmobile collided with Angelo Passerin who had stopped to help another rider whose snowmobile was stuck in deep snow. In a way, this is an example of the perfect storm as the riderless snowmobile went over a 33 meter cliff, climbed out of a ravine and ran for more than a kilometer before striking Passerin.

CASE LAW - Vance v Cartwright

BC Courts Coat of ArmsWilliam Vance was riding an unlicenced, uninsured off road motorcycle southbound on 198 Street in Langley, B.C. He was not wearing a helmet and was exceeding the speed limit. Cristine Cartwright was eastbound on 21 Avenue and had stopped at the stop sign before entering 198 Street intending to turn northbound. Vision was limited for drivers on 21 avenue looking northbound by roadside vegetation.
