Over the last 15 months I have had an issue in regards to my neighbours who insist on having the horn honk when they lock their vehicles. I think the problem can easily be resolved by education.

Question: I recently got pulled over for speeding by a police officer. He gave me a notice and order to get my motorbike safety inspected. On the notice he wrote down the name of the inspection facility that I have to use. Can he do this?

Question: I was on a motorcycle trip a few years ago with a friend , and was riding about 10 km/h faster on a two lane highway and cars were still pushing me to go faster. There was a solid line so no passing as well there were also curves to consider. The shoulder was loose gravel and for me to pull over each time the cars formed a pack behind me I would slow down and pull off to let them go.

Question: The provincial driving guide, Learn to Drive Smart, in the yellow lines section, cites:

Broken line -- passing is allowed when safe

Single yellow line -- vehicles travelling in either direction may pass when it is safe

What is the difference?

Does "at or near" extend to the wrong municipality? The boundary between two neighbouring municipalities is named Street B. This street has a wide grassy median dividing it. I was travelling on one side of Street B when I was stopped by the police and issued a traffic ticket.

Question: Would fill me in on the rules of the road regarding jacked up or raised pickup trucks? I'm often blinded by headlights from those trucks and I would not want to get in a head on with one of them as their bumper is about head high for me.

Question: I just received a ticket under section 151(c) MVA, basically saying that I changed lanes without signal. I find it upsetting that I received this ticket because I did turn on my signal. He said it was just not fast enough as I was just completing a right turn then going to the left lane and the blinker was still signalling right.

Question: How far can the tread of tires stick out from the fenders on a vehicle before it is a violation? The Motor Vehicle Act Regulations just says that the tread area must be covered by the fender.

Question: What is the protocol for passengers paying for gas if there is one? If someone offers to help pay for the gas and they give you the money right away, could they sue you in the case of an accident? If they pay at the end of the trip is that different?

Question: I want to put smoked covers on my headlight and tail lights. Is this Illegal in BC? If it is, are aftermarket headlights and tail lights with the smoked lenses illegal too? Is there somewhere I can go on the internet to find out what is illegal and what isn't?
