REFERENCE - Employers' Guide to Road Safety Requirements

Road Safety at Work LogoBC's Occupation Health and Safety Regulation imposes duties on employers whose employees drive either their own or a company owned vehicle for work. Road Safety at Work has published an Employers' Guide to Road Safety Requirments to assist employers in fulfilling those duties.

These regulations apply to all workplaces that are under the jurisdiction of WorkSafeBC.

The document is divided into five areas:

  • Employer Responsibilities for Driver
  • Employer Responsibilities for Vehicles
  • Employer Responsibilities for Driving Related Hazards
  • Supervisor Responsibilities
  • Driver Responsibilities

Road Safety At Work is a program funded by WorkSafeBC and managed by the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
