Here is a link to the story called "Behind the Bike Box." My first reaction to this story is one of disgust, Is the City of Kelowna following BC road law in instituting this bike lane feature? Is the City of Kelowna trying to single-handedly redefine the Higways act? Does it not fly in the face of existing BC road law?

I'm nearing my 71st birthday and have received the annual medical form required for all Class 1 license holders over, I believe, age 65. I haven't driven for over a year and have no plans to go back to work even on a part time basis.

Question: If I was driving at 150 km/h in a 110 km/h zone, is that considered excessive speeding? The definition I have found on line states that excessive speeding is over 40 km/h.

I have been commuting into Vancouver along Highway 1 and have noticed that the HOV lanes have an unacceptable percentage of single occupant vehicles. My estimate is that between 25% and 30% of vehicles are single occupant.

Question: Why was I charged for 9 days storage and my vehicle held for 8 days for a 7 day impoundment? The impound law under the MVA is very clearly stated in section 253(2) and section 251(1)(e).

It's drivers licence renewal time. You organize and drop by the nearest ICBC Driver Service Center to pay your renewal fee, have your picture taken and leave with your temporary new licence with the promise that you will receive your picture licence in them mail shortly. For most of us, that's the scenario.

Traffic violations other than speeding, are they really enforced?

Question: I received a traffic ticket in July 2012.  I disputed the ticket. After reading articles on this site I decided to write to the officer requesting disclosure to prepare for traffic court. I pulled out the ticket and discovered that the officer did not sign the ticket. I've read posts on this site indicating that this renders the ticket invalid.

I see almost everyone these days bringing their own gas cans to fill up in the USA since they're being gouged royally at the pumps here. Are they allowed (legally) to transport these containers inside their trunk?

How is it that someone can be charged with an impaired and a refusal to submit a sample and only be found guilty of driving without due care and attention? This is not right :(
