Everyone has a pet peeve related to driving, right? I know what mine are, but I was curious about what others might say if I asked, so I did. My faithful weekly newsletter readers responded without hesitation and I want to share their thoughts with you.

Why would a website that specializes in road safety and traffic law in British Columbia refer to the German Road Traffic Regulations? If you take a moment to read the basic driving rules at the beginning and think about it for a moment, maybe you will agree that this is the way our Motor Vehicle Act should start.
Jill Franklin was injured in a collision in 1990 while walking on the streets of Vancouver. Based on her experience she wrote the Auto Accident Survivor's Guide for British Columbia. Question: I have had a tinted licence plate cover on my vehicle for over 5 years now, and just recently I have been getting pulled over for it. The first event happened last week and the officer went to explain to me how they were illegal and that I should remove it immediately.
BC's electric kick scooter pilot project has been given a four year extension. Effective April 5, 2024 some new rules come into effect as the lessons learned in the first pilot that began in 2021 are applied.
We take many of our driving cues from what is happening around us when we are in traffic. If we are paying attention and watching for the correct cues all goes well. Stop paying full attention to the driving task, accidentally take the wrong cue and you can easily cause a collision.
